MELVIN PEREZ
Founder, President, Instructor

Melvin was selected in the 2004 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Montreal Expos after graduating from George Washington High School; after his professional career, Melvin went on to coach amateur baseball at the national level, aiding in the development of over 250 collegiate and professional players. Melvin oversees all day-to-day operations for the Citius Baseball Academy, while also serving as the head coach for Team Citius 12U and Team Citius 17U.

ALEX SANTOS
Director of Baseball Operations, Instructor

Alex gained valuable playing experience playing competitively in Puerto Rico before suffering a career-ending injury; now a coach, Alex utilizes his ten-plus years of experience to assist collegiate prospects with the recruitment process. Alex serves as an instructor for the Citius Baseball Academy, while also serving as the head coach for Team Citius 16U.

JORDANY SANTIAGO
Instructor

Jordany studied at Western Oklahoma College for 2 years, and became a world series catcher after receiving a scholarship to play at the University of Arkansas Forthsmith in 2016. He graduated with a degree in Organizational Leadership and Business Management, while still pursuing his passion for baseball. Jordany was also a Heartland Conference Honors Student. He now serves as an instructor for Citius Baseball Academy, and is a full time catcher and trainer.

JACKSON RANDALL
Director of Facilities

Jackson can be found Mondays through Fridays overseeing Citius' Social Portal, and many other operations within Citius Baseball Academy. His friendly and high-spirited attitude brings a warm welcome to our guests, and all questions regarding  Teams, programs and schedules can be answered by him at the front desk.

Rodney brings his passion for baseball and 27 years of law enforcement experience to the Citius Baseball Academy, where he can be found on weekends overseeing the facility's operations.

Performance Trainer - Turn 2 Fitness
Instructor

C.J. was an infielder and outfielder for Miami-Dade College (2007-2008) and Bethune-Cookman University (2008-2010) prior to launching Turn 2 Fitness. C.J. previously worked as the strength and conditioning coach for the New York Riveters - New York City’s first professional women’s hockey team. C.J. oversees all day-to-day operations for Turn 2 Fitness, while also developing athletes at the Citius Baseball Academy through customized training sessions that focus on strength and mobility.

RYAN APONTE
Performance Trainer - Turn 2 Fitness
Instructor

Ryan spent his college career at SUNY Purchase (2013-2017), where he manned the infield for the Panthers. Determined to help fellow athletes get to the collegiate level and beyond, Ryan decided to utilize his collegiate experience by pursuing a career in performance training. Ryan serves as both an instructor for the Citius Baseball Academy and a performance trainer for Turn 2 Fitness, developing athletes through customized training sessions and biomechanical analysis.
